Introduction || In this week-long birding tour in West Sikkim, we will cover some of the prime birding destinations. We will start from Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary at an altitude of 3000 meters and continue to Pelling and Yuksom before reaching Kewzing village. This tour involves some short and long-day hikes in the remote mountain forests and will look for rich birdlife, including Satyr Tragopan – a colourful Himalayas pheasant. We will mostly stay at Village homestays and trekkers huts, which are the only available accommodation in the faraway corners to give you a more authentic birding experience.
