Most Scenic Drive in Arunachal
A beautiful drive starts from Wakro in the Anjaw district along the pristine Lohit River. Lohit, the community has its name as the beautiful river that rises from the eastern Tibet Plateau and enters India in the Kibithoo area. The river is mentioned in ancient Indian literature, called 'lauhitya' associated with the legend of Parasuram of Mahabharata.
The lower belt of this district has ancient ruins, buildings, shrines and temples. The district presents various sites of Gods. The borders offer notable snow-capped peaks with cascading hills decked with dense evergreen forests and rivers and creeks. The weather will differ from hot and humid in plains and valleys, cool in the mountains. Ancient religions, historical places and landscapes co-exist in this district.
