Introduction This 6-days tour will take you to Singalila National Park, famous for its fantastic floral and faunal variety and the stunning view of the Himalayan peaks. The awe-inspiring trek to Sandakphu and Phalut – the two highest points in the park, goes all along with the Singalila range. All along the trek, you will be able to walk through the forests of flowering rhododendrons of numerous types, giant magnolias, spruce and orchids. Starting from Darjeeling, we will hike to the highest point of Bengal at Sandakphu at 3600 meters and observe the incredible variety of rare birds, including Red Crossbill, Fire-tailed Myzornis, Brown Parrot Bill, Blood Pheasant and the flagship Satyr Tragopan. In Singalila, we will mostly hike on nature's trail with a 4-wheel jeep as back-up and stay in local tea houses. At the end of the hike, you will spend a couple of nights in a sprawling tea bungalow inside a lush tea garden, which is another birding hotspot for mid-altitude bird species.
