Introduction ||This tour takes you to North Sikkim's highland - dominated by high mountain cliff, verdant rhododendron valley, natural hot-springs, perennial snowfields and elevated plateaus across the Trans-Himalayan region. Staying at Lachen and Lachung – two small villages at 2800 meters with a handful Tibeto-Bhutia communities, you will explore higher niches of the Himalayas near the Indo-Tibet Border – Yumthang, Yumesamdong – the vibrant rhododendron valley and lush green yak pastures. You will also visit a stunning glacial lake – Gurudongmar Lake at 5500 meters – one of the world's highest.
(Being marked as a sensitive zone on the Indo Tibet border, the areas can be visited with a special permit. In few spots on this route, non-Indian passport holders are not permitted to visit)
